2020年10月，CGTN以“中国当代社会女性群像”为主题，推出特别企划“SHE POWER”（“她力量”）。
在过去的5个多月里，我们走访北京、天津、广州、西宁等地，在社会的不同角落寻找不同的中国女性，与她们对话，听她们分享自己的人生经历。
今天是国际妇女节。
我们将这些普通中国女性的故事，集结成“SHE POWER”交互作品，在这个特殊的日子里，带你走进一个不平凡的“她们的世界”。

Today marks International Women's Day, a day to celebrate women's achievements. Check out stories of women who have challenged gender bias and inequality.
The interactive includes their stories along with those of many others who all represent a facet of Chinese society, different in many ways, but are bound by their courage to defy the expectations imposed on their gender, and a refusal to stay silent despite tremendous pressure.

有为了逃离家暴而“离家出走”，
开启“一人一车一行囊”自驾游人生的56岁阿姨：
SHE POWER
2020年9月23日，一个叫苏敏的56岁女人，开始了一场只有启程、不问归期的离家出走。这是一个平常的秋日早晨，却是苏敏另一场人生的开始。她开车驶出地下车库，看着女儿的身影逐渐消失在后视镜里；她继续往前开，开出小区院门，汇入主街车流；她上了高速，越开越快，最后离开了郑州地界。然后她再也没有停下来。从那一刻起，她不再是外婆、母亲、妻子、女儿，她只是她自己。
Last September, the housewife left her home in central China's Henan Province, took the car she had bought with a loan, and drove south. Far from action on impulse, she was realizing a meticulous plan to leave her abusive marriage of 30 years, one in which she had tried to commit suicide many times. So far, she has traveled over 10,000 kilometers across the country.
有在“白幼瘦”的审美标准中挣扎，却选择拒绝迎合、只做自己的26岁女孩：
SHE POWER
26岁的然妮（化名）不是现代意义上的美女。戏剧专业出身的她，曾有过无数次失败的试镜经历。回忆起在北京电影学院读书时的一次试镜经历，她说，“那些女生都很漂亮，还是大高个儿，又瘦，超级瘦，没有人跟我一样。我觉得很自卑，那一刻我真的觉得很自卑。”然妮曾想过改变自己，让自己变成大家更喜欢的样子，让自己更符合外界口中对“漂亮女生”的定义。但后来她发现，当人们不喜欢她原本的样子时——“就算我按照他们喜欢的方式去改变（自己），他们还是不喜欢我。”
A petite, feminine appearance has become the standard of mainstream beauty in China. For Rani, who was 5'5'' tall and weighed 120 pounds when she went to college at the Beijing Film Academy, this narrow criterion has had a suffocating effect on her career. In most of the film auditions she had attended, she was discriminated against because she was considered "overweight."
有在“硬核”的编程世界里一往无前，与代码为伴的科技女性：
SHE POWER
中国女程序员在整个行业的占比不到20%，且越往管理层走，人越少。董晶是少数在这个领域走得比较远的女性之一，37岁的她已经是中国科学院自动化研究所副研究员。而抛开闪亮的头衔，她还是两个男孩的妈妈，是一名常常在家庭与事业中面临两难的科研工作者。尽管编程领域如今看起来像是男性主导的领地，但中国有这样一群女程序员，她们为所热爱之事而投入奉献，并从中收获尊严与快乐，在她们的世界里，代码没有性别。
The computer scientist has had a stellar career at the country's top science academy for over a decade. She was the only female PhD in her class who chose to take on frontline R&D work upon graduation and is now the only woman in a 17-people center for research on intelligence perception and computing. Behind these accomplishments is her determination to be on equal footing with her male counterparts in a field dominated by men.
有放下对“完美妈妈”的执念，会在女儿面前展露小情绪的可爱又真实的妈妈：
SHE POWER
“什么样的妈妈才是一个好妈妈？”90年生的王胤一，和世界上所有第一次当妈妈的人一样，觉得这始终是一个无解的题。在许多人的认知里，妈妈是坚不可摧的守护神。她不会轻易诉苦，不会轻易流泪，永远是最好的避风港。但母性的力量，即便被刻画得再无所不能，母亲作为实实在在的人，也有脆弱的时候。不如放下对“完美妈妈”的执念，做一个“真实”的妈妈。
As a single mother of two, she devoted all of her time and energy to taking care of her children – cooking, bathing and playing with them. She wanted to become a perfect mother. Soon she began to feel lost in this routine and her confidence dwindled. By chance, she was introduced to Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ), still a niche sport in China that involves few female trainees. With everyday training, drills and sparring, she has re-discovered herself, something that she had lost after becoming a mother at the age of 24.
有打破世俗眼光，只为帮助逝者体面地和这个世界道别的“95”后寿衣模特：
SHE POWER
来自河南的“95后”女生任赛男，在大学毕业后进入了一个大多数人通常都不会选择的行业——殡葬业，成为了一名“寿衣模特”兼寿衣设计师。在她的设计稿中，寿衣不再是外界印象中沉闷、阴森和古板的样子，呈现出来的是苏绣，是传统文化，更是生命之美。“生老病死是每个人一生必经的过程，我们会把寿衣做得像礼服一样，人们穿上它，可以漂漂亮亮地和世界告别。”在这个世界上，还有千千万万像任赛男这样的殡葬行业工作者，以一颗尊重、敬畏生命之心，为每一个逝者得以体面地离开这个世界而努力着。
With a degree in e-commerce, the young woman joined an online retailer that sells funeral supplies after she couldn't find a "normal" job after graduation. Besides designing burial clothing, realizing those designs by working with tailors, and attending to customers, she is a model that wears new burial garments for livestreaming. At first, even her family and friends tried to persuade her against taking up the job, since death is taboo in Chinese culture. But now, she and those around her realize that her job is a meaningful way to help those deal with the grief of losing their loved ones.
此外，还有数年如一日照顾植物人女儿的“不懂放弃”的妈妈；以及在青海湖边做淘宝直播，打破传统观念桎梏、迎来重生的藏族妇女等等……
她们的故事，看似特别，却又不特别。
她们只是每日与你擦肩而过的，
那些再平凡不过的中国女性。
但走进她们你会发现，
每一个平凡的她都在自己的世界里，
以不平凡的姿态勇敢战斗着。
她们，是万千中国女性的真实缩影。
